Obituary for Glenn Howell

Glenn Allison Howell, 58, of Paragould passed away November 4, 2008 at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center. He was born September 23, 1950 in Leachville, Arkansas to James and Dixie Howell.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Howell; two sons, James Howell of Chico, CA., Justin  Howell of Paragould; four daughters Shirley Howell of Chico, CA., Amber Shipman, Misty Roberts and Amanda Garmoth all of Paragould; ten grandchildren, Kyla Roberts, Austin Howell, Zackery Breckenridge, Chelsey and Justin Roberts, Brittany, Jeramiah, Colton, Brianna and Christopher Howell. His Mother-in-law, Betty Thompson and three sister-in-laws, Patricia Hartley, Debbie Friedhoff and Kathy Smith.

Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Dixie Howell; two brothers Ronnie and James Howell.

The family will receive friends 6-9 PM, Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:30 AM, Friday November 7, 2008 in the Center Hill Chapel at Phillips Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Songer officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Jack Friedhoff, James Howell, Justin Howell, Danny Shipman, Rebel Howell and Josh Garmoth. Honorary pallbearers are Porter Summers, Joshua Hartley, Jeremy Williams and Bruce Baty.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Glenn Howell Memorial Account at Pulaski Bank.

Well i was going to see my grandfather before he passed away but i dint make it.=( I have never seen him but in this picture on this site and never knew him as my grandfather but im sure i would have liked him. I had to convince my dad to go since he didnt know wether to see him after he left my dad when he was little but i convinced him! But unfortunately it was too late and i was unable to go to the funeral.
