Obituary for
Peggy Weaver
Peggy Ann (Cook) Weaver, 67, of Lafe, gladly went to her
Lord and Savior July 13, 2010 after a long battle with cancer.
Peggy was born to Clarence and
Maudie Cook on October 29, 1942 in Galesburg, Il. She had a passion for the
outdoors whether it was bow hunting, tournament shoots, fishing or gardening
with the love of her life for 49 years her husband, Ray Weaver.
Her
quiet time was spent beading beautiful jewelry and one of a kind pieces of
art work. She retired from Emerson Electric in 1990.
Preceding her in death were her father, Clarence Alfred
Cook; two brothers, Clyde Alfred and John Edward Cook and one sister, Betty
Shirlene Opar.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend,
Tilden Ray Weaver; three daughters and their husbands, Vickie (Joel) Riley
of Biloxi, MS., Karen (Craig) Vrabel of Denver, CO. and Stacy (Rob) O’Bryan
of St. Louis, MO.; three much adored granddaughters, Jessica (Nick) Carzoli,
Lindsey and Brittney O’Bryan; two beloved step-grandchildren, Mallory and
Bryce Vrabel; her mother, Sister Maudie Cook: five brothers, George, Sam,
Marvin, Gary and James Cook; three sisters, Mary Blankenship, Sally Shepard
and Martha Rodriguez and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Thursday, July 15,
2010 at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Friday, July
16, 2010 in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with her nephew
Josh Carpenter officiating.
Memorial can be made to Circle of Hope in Jonesboro.
She didn’t lose the fight, she just went home.
