To me my Uncle Ray was a quiet spoken man with a quick sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye.
Though I visited with his family during the summers I didn’t really get to know him until my adult years.  When he was sheriff  he’d come over to Grandma’s house and  he would tell some story and before you knew it – he pulled the wool over your eyes and all you could do was roll your eyes and laugh along with him.  We both enjoyed reading and he turned me on to his favorite author, Louis L’amour.  I hope he enjoyed the books I sent to him periodically.
To his family and friends, Grief can’t be shared. Everyone carries it alone; his/her own burden in his/her own way. Please treat yourself with great tenderness and please know my love and prayers are with you.  Leah

To my Uncle,
The last time we were together, we were shooting pool and drinkin beer, and you were kicking my butt all over that table. Loved every minute of it! I don't remember if I told you how proud I was to have you as my uncle, I am.  Our next rematch I hope you'll let me win one.  Well I guess heaven has a new sheriff in Town.

Love you Uncle Ray

I could not have asked for a better dad. He was always there for me know matter what...teaching me right from wrong and if I made the wrong choice he still stood behind me-never saying I told you so, but "it will be ok". He was my inspiration-MY HERO!!! I miss him so much!! I love you very much (his last words to me) dad!!
